If you regularly get ulcers (recurrent aphthous stomatitis) or peeling of the skin in your mouth, trying an SLS free toothpaste may help.
Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) is a popular ingredient in cosmetic products. SLS is added to produce a foam – a sensation apparently both enjoyed and expected in toothpaste. However SLS is an irritant and can cause some patients to have sore mouths.
