Some adults and children can not tolerate the strong flavour of minty toothpastes.
When choosing a milder flavoured toothpaste it’s important to check the fluoride level which should be 1400-1500ppm (usually 1450ppm) for adults and children aged 3 and over, and also for children under 3 living in areas with no fluoride in the water. In areas lucky enough to have fluoridated water, children under 3 should use a toothpaste with 1000ppm of fluoride.
